When School Is Out, Camp Is In!
The IMAG History & Science Center announces its new, exciting Winter Camps designed especially for Kindergarten through 2nd grade and 3rd through 5th grade students. Camp IMAG is the place for students to be over the coming school break where learning is fun.
On Thursday and Friday, December 26 and 27, Camp IMAG
On the following Monday and Tuesday, December 30 and 31, Camp IMAG
Then to start out the New Year on Thursday and Friday, January 2 and 3, Camp IMAG is offering Mad Science Lab for K-2 and Chemistry Magicians for 3-5. Grab your lab coat, put on your safety goggles, and step into our Mad Science Lab where campers will conduct bubbling, fizzing, and, yes, even explosive chemistry experiments! As Chemistry Magicians, older campers will discover the chemistry behind magic tricks; they will learn a polymer trick, use the speed of light to make something disappear, create optical illusions, and more!
Finally, on the following Monday and Tuesday, January 6 and 7, Camp IMAG is offering Animal Grossology for K-2 and Grossology for 3-5. Yech! Animals can be cute… and gross! Campers will dissect an owl pellet, identify tracks and scat, meet a hissing cockroach, and more as they experience Animal Grossology. Sometimes science can also be gross, slimy, stinky, and, yes, even fun. In Grossology, older campers will learn about germs using glowing germ powder, pop some burping bags, test their taste buds with questionable treats, make fake snot, and more!
Winter Camp at Camp IMAG promises to be stimulating and fun, exciting and educational for your child. For more information and camp registration, please visit: theIMAG.org.
