Brotherhood Ride Arrives in Fort Myers Today

The 2019 Brotherhood Ride will conclude a statewide journey today, October 26, 2019, at the Fort Myers Police Department.

The ride consists of 37 first responders from throughout Florida who will complete a seven-day, 600-mile bicycle trek that is dedicated to the 19 Fallen Heroes who died in the line of duty in 2018 while protecting their communities.

Police Officers, Firefighters and K-9’s who gave the ultimate sacrifice will be recognized and remembered with a ceremony in front of the department at approximately 5 PM. The public is invited to attend and show support for the memories of these dedicated public servants.

The FMPD Fallen Officer Memorial Foundation will present a donation to the group from funds raised through the 2019 Cops and 5K.  All donations go to support the families of fallen first responders.

The Fort Myers Police Department is located at 2210 Widman Way in Downtown Fort Myers between Broadway and Hendry Streets.
