Lee County Homeless Coalition Hosts Fifteenth Annual Dinner and Silent Auction

This year in Lee County, there are approximately 2,800 people without a place to call home. To help raise funds and awareness to end homelessness, the Lee County Homeless Coalition invites the community to join them on November 2, 2019, for their Fifteenth Annual Dinner and Silent Auction.

The event will take place at Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower Shops, located at 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33907, starting at 6:00 PM.

Tickets are $75 for coalition members and $85 for non-members. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $350 to $2,500 include tickets and recognition at the event. In addition, members of the community can help the Lee County Homeless Coalition by donating items for the silent auction. Proceeds from the dinner support the Coalition and their mission.

This year’s Master of Ceremonies is Earnest Graham, retired Running Back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers & Head Football Coach at Evangelical Christian School.

The Special Guest Speaker will be Desmond Meade, President of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, who will speak about his experience “From Homelessness to One of TIME Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential’ People in 2019”.

Music will be performed by 41 South Band and this year’s dress theme is “Come as Your Favorite ‘Allstar”.

“There is still a great need for sponsors of this event,” said Janet Bartos, executive director of the Lee County Homeless Coalition. “The annual Dinner and Auction is one of the few times that the Southwest Florida community can pull together to help our fellow residents who are faced with homelessness. We appreciate the tremendous effort and support from partner agencies. We need the help of the Lee County community to make an impact with the children, families and the over 2,800 individuals who are faced with homelessness each year.”
