Barbara Evans has been named chief development officer for the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
She will lead the development and implementation of strategic fundraising efforts in support of the food bank’s mission to lead our community in the fight to end hunger.
Evans has a nearly 20-year career in fundraising. She was formerly director of development at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. Prior to her position at the foundation, Evans was the chief development officer for Grace Place for Children and Families in Naples for six years. Under her leadership, the organization experienced explosive revenue growth, both in annual operating and capital revenue.
Evans has a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. She and her husband, Jonathan, have two young children.
