Art WalkMystery Walk

Friday: A must do in the River District social scene is the monthly Art Walk. Always on the First Friday, visit the many exciting galleries, exhibitions, and performances. FREE to the public with many venues featuring additional attractions and specials. Rain or shine, 6-10 pm.


Honoring Our Heroes

Saturday & Sunday: As a testament to service members who made the ultimate sacrifice, you are invited to join the “Honoring Our Heroes” event. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be on display in JetBlue Park from 9 am -3 pm this weekend. This FREE, family-friendly event is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to pay respects, to learn our history and to honor these courageous men and women who gave their lives for our country. Those in attendance will be able to touch the wall and rub pencil over paper where their loved ones are listed, just as many do to preserve a memento of the wall in Washington. Money from the sale of food and beer at the event will go toward local charities that promote education, fight hunger and support veterans.


Home Show

Saturday & Sunday: The Fort Myers Home Show is the opportunity to speak directly with experts and receive the advice and inspiration you need to turn your dream home or other home improvement project into a reality. This is the perfect event for the homeowner who is planning for the year ahead. Suncoast Credit Arena at FSW, from 10 am – 6 pm both days. Admission is FREE!


Free Guided Nature Walk

Saturday: Enjoy a free guided nature walk at DANIELS PRESERVE at SPANISH CREEK, 18500 Persimmon Ridge Road Alva, FL from 8-9:30 AM.  Trail length: 1.5 mile loop; NO restroom available, No registration is required. Walks are led by trained volunteer naturalists. Hiking level is MODERATE for all listed locations. Trail conditions may be wet during summer rainy season. Suggested items to bring include water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and camera. Please wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals. For questions, call (239) 204-1125


Scared Scriptless Comedy Lab

Saturday: The Laboratory Theater‘s resident improv troupe, Scared Scriptless, is an award-winning comedy troupe which offers a uniquely fun experience with each show. Led by Steve Cobb, the troupe was formerly known as Bonita City Improv. Every show is based on audience suggestions, making for a memorable night of fun and laughter. The last 2 performances have completely sold out – so reserve your seats early for this one! Tickets are just $15. Show starts at 7 pm.
