Art Walk

Friday: A must do in the River District social scene is the monthly Art Walk. Always on the First Friday, visit the many exciting galleries, exhibitions, and performances. FREE to the public with many venues featuring additional attractions and specials. Rain or shine, 6-10 pm.



Friday – Saturday: Join Alliance for the Arts for the new exhibit Juxtaposition. Walk in a world of whimsy through the eyes of Mila Bridger and Mariapia Malerba’s vibrant, fantastical works that explore liveliness, nature and the human imagination. Energetic colors and manufactured fantasy create a surreal display of perception and saturated vitality that can only be imagined by the women in the show. The Exhibit runs through May 31st. Opening night reception is Friday from 5 – 7 pm. Saturday morning starting at 10 am, you can walk and talk with the artists themselves. Galleries are FREE and open to the public, although a $5 suggested donation keeps programming affordable and accessible.


Premium Car & Truck ShowPremium Car & Truck Show

Saturday: Come down to Parrot Key Caribbean Grill for the Premium Productions Car & Truck Show. More than 30 categories for cars and trucks with trophies in each category and 20 overall Best In Show Awards. Registration opens at 8 am, judging starts at 11 am and awards will be at 2 pm. Come out for a fun-filled day with some of the hottest cars and trucks in SWFL!


ECHO Summer Garden Workshop Series

Saturday: Join ECHO Farms at 10 am on the first Saturday of the Month for gardening workshops on some of our most popular topics! This time it’s Vegetable Gardening in SW Florida in the Summer Months with Dr. Martin Price. **Coffee and fruit samples available **


Taste of the Beach24th Annual Taste of the Beach

Sunday: The 24th Annual Taste of the Beach will be held on Old San Carlos Blvd., just down the street from Times Square. Restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes available for purchase and compete for top Taste of the Beach Award honors in the categories of Best Appetizer, Best Beef Entree, Best Seafood Entree, Best Chicken Entree, Best Dessert, Best Decorated Booth, and People’s Choice. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Food will be served until it runs out or at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children over 12. Children under 12 are free. Food tickets will be $1.00 each, with a $5 average food serving price. Live music will be provided.
