Mystery Walk

Friday: Mystery Walk is a family-friendly event that invites you to search the clues throughout core downtown and enter for a chance to win prizes! It’s a great way to explore downtown and have some fun too! Check-in starts at 6 pm and the challenge stays open until about 8 pm. Cash prizes for four winners. Check-in is at the corner of First and Hendry Streets in front of Iberia Bank. This is FREE to play. No purchase is necessary at participating locations.


Yappy Hour

Friday: Fall In Love with a Rescue at Yappy Hour at the Bell Tower Shops from 6 to 8 p.m. in center court. For a $5 donation to the Gulf Coast Humane Society, pet owners can enter their dog into a costume contest reflecting the football theme. Throughout Yappy Hour, visitors will have an opportunity to stop by dog-friendly sponsor stations and meet adoptable dogs from the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Yappy Hour on the second Friday of each month.


Florida Sportsman Expo

Saturday – Sunday: The Florida Sportsman Expo at the Lee County Civic Center is the only fishing, boating, hunting, outdoor exposition of its kind in the state of Florida. Expert hands-on instruction on tackle, rigging, 30 plus seminars each day from local fishing captains, hunting guides and outfitters. 6 seminar stages on Inshore, Offshore, Hunting, Angler on Foot, Fly Fishing and Kayak. Bait, Rigs & Tackle Academy, Cast Net Pit, Fly Casting Pond, and a Kids Fishing Derby. Enjoy live music on the show floor, try some samples from local Florida food artisans that can enhance your catch. Daily Admission $8. Edison Ford Winter Garden Festival

Saturday – Sunday: For anyone who enjoys gardening, the Edison Ford Winter Garden Festival is a must-see event! Dozens of plant and garden vendors will have booths under the Banyan and other historic trees all around the museum and lab. This is an opportunity to shop for hard-to-find plants that grow successfully in Southwest Florida. The Edison Garden Shoppe will also have many plants, trees, herbs and garden-related items available for sale. Plant vendors and Edison Ford horticulturists will be on hand to answer gardening questions and help you with your selections. Food trucks and live music will be on site too, so come out and spend the day shopping for plants! This FREE event from 9 am – 12 noon does not include tours of homes or admission to the museum and laboratory. Parking is free, as well.


Edison Festival of Lights Mutt Strut

Saturday: Dog lovers, families, vendors and pet agencies gather for fun, food and the mutt strut! A festival for people and dogs alike from 12 noon – 4 pm! Dress your pet up for the Mutt Strut parade at 3 p.m. with the theme being “Rock n’ Roll”. Dachshund races at 2 p.m. Pooches and owners in costumes or their finest bling – even a few doggie floats mixed in! Vendors will be ready to serve your wants and needs. The event is FREE to the public, and only requires a small registration fee for participating pups. Medals are awarded in several categories including the infamous look-alike and Mayor’s awards.
