FMPD Finds Stolen Guns/Makes Arrests in Fly Lounge Parking Lot

Officers of the Fort Myers Police Department were clearing the parking area of the Fly Lounge at 2158 Colonial Boulevard on Sunday, December 30, 2018. At approximately 2 a.m., they observed a firearm on the floorboard of a vehicle.  

Officers detained the occupants of the vehicle, identified as Jontavis Garvin (date of birth 09/14/1993) and Vincent Stroud (date of birth 07/31/1990.) Police conducted a search resulting in a total of three guns, one reported stolen in Miami and another stolen from inside of Lee County.

Vincent Stroud

Garvin and Stroud were both charged with carrying a concealed firearm, with Garvin additionally charged with possession of under 20 grams of Marijuana.  Both were arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Illegal guns were once again been taken off the streets of Fort Myers thanks to keen observation on the part of FMPD Officers.
