The Shell Factory & Nature Park announced that it has added a new Nature Park attraction called ‘Close Encounters.’ Located at 2787 N. Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers, the attraction is open daily at 12 p.m., 2 p.m.,
The attraction provides guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s most intriguing critters. Baby alligators, sugar gliders, kinkajou, agoutis, and a bare-tailed woolly opossum are just a few of the critters guests will get to see. Rescuing a majority of the inhabitants, The Nature Park has over 400 animals, birds, reptiles, and fish staged in aviaries, an ecological laboratory, a petting farm, and other habitats.
“Close Encounters is one of the many exciting changes we are making to enhance the park and provide our guests the opportunity to interact with animals they normally don’t see.” said Pam Cronin, Owner of The Shell Factory & Nature Park. “Our ultimate goal is to create a fun and unique experience for our guests.”
A family favorite destination, The Shell Factory & Nature Park provides a full day of fun including amusement-style rides, arcade games, a zip line, four museums, live entertainment, a full-service restaurant and 68,000 square feet of gift shops and much more. The venue celebrated its 80th Anniversary this year.
