Tip leads to Drugs and Gun Taken off the Street

On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at approximately 12 midnight, Fort Myers Police officers responded to 1588 Lockwood Drive in reference to an anonymous complaint of drug sales.

Upon arrival, the officers made contact with a male sitting in the front passenger seat of a white Nissan. He was identified as Trevon Tillman (Date of Birth 12/14/1993) and had a handgun in his pants pocket.

While questioning Tillman, Officers were approached by another man. He continued to get closer to Officers even after repeatedly being asked to step back. The officers observed that there were various empty plastic baggies with residue on the ground. They questioned the man, who was identified as Antonio Smith (Date of Birth 6/20/2000). 

A search of Smith resulted in the discovery of a plastic package with multiple smaller baggies inside containing drugs. Smith was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Obstruction. Tillman was charged with carrying a concealed firearm.

Both suspects were taken to the Fort Myers Police Department for processing and later transported to the Lee County jail.
